Terms of Service - The Kenilworth Key

These terms cover your use of The Kenilworth Key app, run by The Town Keys, operated by Clive Jones, sole trader trading as The Town Keys, contactable at policies@thetownkeys.co.uk. By using the app you accept these terms.

What the app is

The Kenilworth Key is a free directory of local businesses around Kenilworth and nearby villages, with member offers ("Keys") from participating businesses. It is currently in beta, which means features may change and occasional glitches are possible.

Offers and redemptions

  • Offers are provided by the individual businesses, not by The Town Keys. Each business is responsible for its own offer, its terms, and honouring it. We are not a party to any purchase you make from a business.
  • To redeem: activate a Key in the app to show its QR code and live timer, and show it to staff before the timer runs out. Staff may decline an expired, already-used, or misused Key.
  • Offers have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred for money.
  • Unless an offer says otherwise, it is one redemption per person per offer.
  • A business may change or withdraw an offer; we will try to keep the app accurate but cannot guarantee every offer is always available.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app: no attempting to break it, scrape it in bulk, fake redemptions, or interfere with other users or businesses. We may restrict access for misuse.

Intellectual property

The app, branding, and content belong to The Town Keys or the businesses featured. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Availability and liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", especially while in beta. We do not promise uninterrupted service. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer, and we do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for businesses failing to honour offers.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales.
