The Kenilworth Key barely uses actual cookies. It mainly uses your browser's local storage - treated the same as cookies under UK privacy rules (PECR), so this policy covers both.
These never leave your phone and are exempt from consent because the app cannot function without them.
| What | Where | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your unlocked keys / wallet | Your device's local storage | So your Keys stay saved between visits | Until you clear it |
| Your privacy choices | Your device's local storage | So we remember your consent settings | Until you clear it |
| Install-guide flag | Your device's local storage | So the add-to-home-screen tip only shows once | Until you clear it |
Analytics is off unless you choose Accept All or enable it in Manage Preferences. You can change your mind any time in the app.
| Cookie | Set by | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Anonymous usage statistics: pages viewed, features tapped | Up to 2 years |
Google Analytics is the only third party setting storage through the app, and only with your consent. Cloudflare (hosting/security) may set strictly necessary security cookies on some visits.
Use Manage Preferences in the app, or clear cookies/site data in your browser settings. Clearing storage removes your saved Keys.
